Tremolos Singing Group

Singing is known to be a good voice strengthening exercise for people with Parkinson's Disease. Santa Cruz County has an ongoing singing group for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers: the Santa Cruz Tremolos Singing Group.

Even if you have never attended Tremolos before, we welcome you to join our therapeutic singing sessions. It is vital for us to engage in fun activities and that is multiplied when more people join in.

Singing is an essential activity for PwPs as it strengthens the breath and improves the vocal control of articulation, smiling, and swallowing. Singing also strengthens community and connection.

When: Every second, third and fourth Thursday of the month from 1:00 to 2:15 pm.

Where: St. John’s Episcopal Church 125 Canterbury Dr, Aptos

We are led by director, Camille Couture, with piano accompaniment. We sing a mixture of musical styles incorporating choral rounds, and call and response songs. No prior singing experience expected.
