Monthly Educational and Social Meeting

Santa Cruz County has an ongoing group for people with Parkinson’s and their care partners.

Monthly meetings: First Wednesday of every month (except holidays) from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. With interesting speakers and discussions!

There is usually a pot-luck summer picnic in July or August and a holiday pot-luck in December.

Location: Inner Light Center, 5630 Soquel Drive, Soquel (between Porter Dr and Park Ave exits off Highway CA1, almost halfway between the two)

Speakers:. We get speakers every month to help us learn more about various aspects of Parkinson’s and how to deal with them.

Monthly Newsletter: We have a newsletter with articles about Parkinson’s disease and information on current local Parkinson’s events (contact us to get added to newsletter list) and we have group activities such as a singing and exercise (for fun – and to improve speech and movement and slow down disease progression).

We know Parkinson’s. We know it as only someone who lives with it can, and we learn from each other. The group is run by and for us – people with Parkinson’s
